The criteria for the Temporary Graduate visa have been refined. Now, applicants must attain an overall IELTS score of 6.5, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. Additionally, the validity period for the test has been reduced to just 1 year. It’s essential to provide evidence of having taken an English Language test within 1 year before submitting your visa application.

For Prospective Student visa applicants:
The IELTS score requirement has been elevated to 6, up from the previous 5.5.
Students enrolling in packaged ELICOS programs now need a minimum IELTS score of 5.0, compared to the previous requirement of 4.5.
There are no changes for students exclusively undertaking English language courses through ELICOS programs.
Those enrolled in university foundation or pathway programs must now achieve a minimum IELTS test score of 5.5.
